Impression Obsession RIDING PRETTY

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having a relaxing weekend so far! Today, I'm sharing a watercolor card using the gorgeous Impression Obsession Riding Pretty Stamps. I LOVE this set!! It's so versatile and can be used for so many different occasions.
7 Kids Your Crafting Store has an awesome selection of Impression Obsession stamps and dies HERE. You are going to love this line!
To achieve this look, I first stamped my image and sentiment with Versamark, and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. I then watercolored the image using the awesome metallic ink pans from Prima Marketing Metallic Accents. I LOVE these! The colors are very vibrant, and add a really pretty shimmer to the image.

These are the gorgeous metallic colors in the set.
Here is my card put together. I used the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die to cut out the image. To achieve the cloud background, I cut a piece of cardstock using a cloud border die, lined it up over my paper, and rubbed blue chalk along the edge. As you move the cardstock down, you shift it to the left or right and rub more chalk over it until you get your desired effect. The green bottom is Distress Oxide Ink.

Here's a flat view so you can see the shimmer of the gold embossing.

Don't forget about our current ANYTHING GOES Challenge. Just click on the link on the right side bar to upload your card for a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate to the store! Please use products from the 7 Kids Store on your uploaded projects.
Have a great Sunday my friends!

Hi dear crafty friends,

It's Aleksandra with you today again with some fresh Finnabair and Prima inspiration for you. Schoolhouse & Triangle Stencil - Neat & Tangled

Happy Hello and welcome to Friday! it's Mindy from Paper Creations by Mindy and I have a great back to school card to share with you using products from Neat & Tangled that is available at 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store

This set is super cute and I have a few plans for it ! I colored up the fun bear with his backpack using my copic markers and cut it out with my Scan n Cut. I like to leave a little bit of a white border around him so that is what I did.

For my background, I'm using the Modern Triangle Stencil also from Neat & Tangled. This is such a great design! I wanted to use some school colors but didn't want to use a ton of different inks so I'm using a little trick I picked up from Jennifer McQuire. I'm using the NEW oxide inks and just used 3 colors. Where two of the meet ... I blend them together and it creates a whole new color! So I got 5 colors out of using just 3 ink pads.
I added my sentiment from the Schoolhouse to a piece of cardstock I cut from Neenah White Solar cardstock and adhered that to card with foam tape.  For a finishing touch - I added some new Starry Night Sequins using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and the jewel picker. Very handy tool!
Distress Oxide - Salty Ocean, Candied Apple, Wild Honey
Neenah White Solar Carstock
Foam Tape
Painters Tape
Scan n Cut
Bear - E37-35-34-33-31-50-53
Backpack - B18-06-04

Happy Thursday! I'm here today to share this card with you
With the Tim Holtz Water Color Kit I had everything I needed to make this card.

The kit features an assortment of Distress Watercolor crayons and several tools this kit has everything you need to learn the techniques needed to create watercolor art Includes distress crayons (festive berries, fossilized amber, chipped sapphire, rusty hinge, peeled paint, seedless preserves), paintbrush, mini archival ink pad (black soot), clear stamp set, acrylic block, watercolor cardstock, instruction booklet.
It was super fun to do!!! I water colored the paper with the distress crayons and then tore pieces from each color and glued  it down on the card front and then stamped the Butterfly on top. I stamped the sentiment and then using a paint brush I flicked different colors all over the paper.
I added Limoncello Nuvo crystal drops to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting :)

Take it easy

Amy here and it's time for my weekly 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store card creation. My last box of happy mail included the new Lumberjack Guys stamp set from CC Designs along with the Cabin Fever paper pack. I knew the two would be a match made in outdoorsy heaven and couldn't wait to use them on a card together. Simple Stories is one of my favorite paper companies because I love all the sheets they have that are divided into multiple little scenes and sayings. Once you cut them apart they are perfect for cards and that is just what I did to get this mountain background. The 'trail head' sign and sentiment are both stickers from the sticker sheet that was included in the pack as well. All that was left to do was pick a lumberjack to live in this high mountain scene and I finally landed on this cutie because I liked that he was sitting on a stump which added a bit more interest. He really pulls the whole thing together with his easy, laid back attitude, don'tcha think?

Alrighty, well the July Challenge is in full swing and with all the fabulous new stamps and supplies that Kelly has been bringing into the store that $20 gift certificate that is up for grabs could really help to fill a shopping cart! So get crafty and join the fun!
